Whislt you read or listen, become a text detective, use a notebook to write down any new, unfamiliar or words that stand out to you! What do they mean? How does the author Emily Rodda use words to create an image in your mind. Some of the words in this chapter may be completely new, use the learningapps vocabulary matching activity to start to build your own glossary (hint you will need it to complete the final part of this activity in padlet)! These might become words that you can use in your own fantasy text writing when we are back at school.
Now you have the dictionary definitions, can you use the words in your own sentences. Choose one word and add your own fantasy writing sentence, using the word, to the padlet.
